Door and Window Upgrades for Volkswagen Cars
Volkswagen vehicles are modern and bold in design, but that doesn’t always earn them the accolades the might otherwise deserve. Sometimes, in order to get your car noticed, you need to change up several major features of your VW to make it stand out in a crowd. One of the best ways to make an impression on a VW is by making an entrance, and you can’t make an entrance without car doors. Some VW vehicles have unusual shapes, and that can also make the car doors a bit unique as well. Instead of just getting a Beetle or Jetta with regular, horizontal car doors, however, you can get your car to really ‘pop’ by installing some customized VW doors. Volkswagen vertical doors, for instance, glide open and are about as streamlined as car doors come. They can make an otherwise barebones vehicle look like a heavily modified version of the car that someone’s spent thousands on upgrades for.
Vertical doors, however, aren’t the only types of custom VW car doors you can install. Aftermarket VW door options include Volkswagen gullwing doors, which make the car doors like kind of like seagull’s wings when open, as well as VW suicide doors, which open backwards (but are better known for their striking name). You can even pick up items such as shaved handle kits if you so desire to alter your Volkswagen’s doors in such a way.
Volkswagen owners are lucky in many ways because VW vehicles are often painted in bright, outrageous colors that are much less commonplace on other vehicle types. The notoriety of the VW bug and its common bright yellow coloring probably has something to do with this. But that also means that if you want to make a door change without changing out the actual doors, you could probably even paint your Volkswagen’s doors different colors for a truly eccentric look that few would copy.
Windows are another area where a VW owner can work to impress. Tinted VW windows will make the car’s interior more private while also adding a shot of class into the vehicle’s appearance. The installation of a Volkswagen sunroof, or moon roof, can also make your car look more luxurious and sporty. For ease of use, you can even get an automatic sunroof that opens at the press of a preselected button.
With new car doors and a moon roof installed, your VW will look less like a factory model and more like a custom-ordered piece with few comparable cousins on the open road.
